Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) has announced he will be running for president in 2016. In his announcement he declared, “I intend to stand up and fight for working families all over the country.” Sanders, the longest-serving Independent in Congress history is running as a Democrat. His formal kick-off to candidacy will be held in his home state, Vermont most likely later this month.
Sanders, 73 is Hillary Clintons first Democratic challenger. He declares America needs a “political revolution,” referencing Clinton’s that the millions of dollars flowing into the Clinton Foundation as a problem. “It is not just Hillary, It’s the Koch Brothers. It is Sheldon Adelson… Can somebody who is not a billionaire who stands for working families actually win and election?” He said to ABC’s Jonathan Karl.
